About Us

Perimeter security expertise, without the overhead of a big-firm engagement.

Uplink Strategies was built around a simple idea: organizations shouldn't have to choose between deep technical expertise and responsive, hands-on support.

Our story

Uplink Strategies grew out of 16+ years of hands-on network security engineering across government, association, and consulting environments. That background covers everything from day-to-day firewall operations to enterprise-wide network access control architecture protecting well over 100,000 endpoints.

Rather than folding that expertise into another large consultancy, we built Uplink Strategies to deliver it directly — with the responsiveness and accountability of a focused team, and the technical depth of engineers who have owned these systems in production, not just in a lab.

Our approach

Every environment is different, but our approach stays consistent: understand the architecture before touching a policy, plan changes around real change-control and compliance requirements, and automate the repeatable work so your team can focus on what actually needs judgment.

We work across the platforms enterprises actually run — Check Point, Palo Alto, Cisco ISE, Forescout, F5, and Blue Coat — so recommendations are grounded in what fits your environment, not a single vendor's roadmap.

What Drives Us

Our values

Reliability first

Perimeter and access-control systems are infrastructure — they need to work every time. We plan and execute changes to protect uptime, not just check a box.

Straight answers

Vendor-neutral guidance based on what your environment actually needs — not what's easiest to sell.

Automate the routine

Manual, repetitive security operations are where errors creep in. We build scripts and API integrations that remove that risk.
